speaking from experience a normal mini dp to dp cord will NOT do it.i can get 144hz on my fps counters but everytime a load happens I drop to 0 with insane amounts of lag I am currently attempting to do figure out correct way to do this but I can attest that a normal cable is not the answer

I recently bought a very nice gaming laptop I have it hooked up to a 144 hz monitor when I'm at home though. when loading any game screen or anything onto monitor I get insane lag issues however if i use my laptop screen I get no lag and load times are damn near instant. please any thoughts??
