Gigabyte Releases Three R9 200 Series BF4-Edition Cards

After 2 Gigabyte Windforce R9 280x's I will never be buying anything Gigabyte again. Yes all video cards are manufactured by Asian Corporations, got it. Yes it's most probably cheaper to operate Asian based call centers, got it. Yes English is a hard language to master, got it. I'm not...

    Monitor Bottleneck with Gateway Monitor

I have a i7 2600 Sandy Bridge, 16gb of 1866 DDR3 RAM, an XFX R9-290 with an SSD and 600w PSU. I am using this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824113019 Real word scenario, is this going to prevent me from getting top performance from my build? I definitely do not...

    No display/post with new GPU(HD 7770)

It is real, and works, the compatibility. But not on a and I quote 'select few' outdated boards, and some are not even outdated. I have never seen this problem with Nvidia, overpriced as they are (I still steer away from Nvidia in most cases), it seems to be localized with AMD. One of my...

    No display/post with new GPU(HD 7770)

I did not realize this was an argument? I'm not here to bicker and deny things with you; I'm here to help the OP. We are all here to help people no? It is an obvious compatibility issue, and I have seen it, many many times. Usually with the r9 series. I have physically called AMD and double...

    No display/post with new GPU(HD 7770)

It's the board itself, not the card. You can troubleshoot it until next year if it would satisfy you, or replace it with another 7770 and the problem will still be there. But by all means go ahead.

    No display/post with new GPU(HD 7770)

No, I am not trying to be an a*s or sound rude, but I answered your question. It's not the answer you want, but it is the answer. You have a PCI-e 3.0 card and a PCI-e 2.0 motherboard. It is not the speeds (x16) but the protocol. Your pcie2 motherboard is not compatible with anything but pcie2...

    R9 280x Alternative

Could you link to the card you are referring to? I see no free games. Also, is it worth the extra ~$40ish to get the 4gb? People say 2gb is enough for one monitor for now, but clearly it won't 'now' in 6 months.

    R9 280x Alternative

So the consensus is against the 770? I'm assuming crossfire will be able to match sli in a year or so when I buy another?

    R9 280x Alternative

So far I am on my second r9 280x, Gigabyte Wind force. (For the record Gigabyte customer service is as bad if not worse than what you've heard). In any case I bought the first one from newegg and promptly RMA as it was DOA. New egg sent me another, whic is now producing horrible coil whine...

    Horrible HDMI output R9 280x

Yes sir, drivers are straight from AMD's site. The settings do not change from HDMI to DVI, but i double checked and that is not the issue. The weird thing is that the 'Print Screen' I took with it all crazy looking looks fine after a reboot and into DVI. If it were a display adapter issue...

    Horrible HDMI output R9 280x

I just went through an insane ordeal that started with me wanting a new graphics card and ended with a 16gbs of RAM, a SSD, a new Mobo and an r9 280x. I don't know how or what happened but it did. In any case, I am running Windows 8.1 64 Bit, attempting to do so with HDMI after windows install...
