quick edit i decided to go for the i7 8700k for 150$ more, also regarding the mobo z370f how many fan headers does it have? ill use 4 case fans and i wonder if it can support all of them (4 pin connectors)

thanks for the quick responds, so far looks like ill go with the i5 because of the extra cores that might be useful in multitasking and also the z370f motherboard will leave room to upgrade with the coffelake i7 when my i5 cant handle it anymore (im expecting minimum 2 years of hard use before...

one more question tho ill be using the cpu with be quiet dark rock 3 pro cooler, will the i5 overclock any good? im air cooling so i wont expect anything amazing but how much could i push it?
