    Question New fan had 4-pin option but I bought the 3-pin. Can I convert it to 4-pin to take advantage of 4-pin PWM motherboard ?

    So here goes a VERY dumb question. I´m replacing my old 9 years MSI board for a cheap MUCAI X99 P4 + Xeon E5 2680 V3 +16gb DDR4 because my old board has been crashing for 2 years, some days doesn´t crash at all, others is a pain in the a@@ to start so, for that price ( about 80 USD ), I think...

    [SOLVED] Which way does this connector go

    I have a 3 pin fan header on my mobo and a 4 pin fan connector and this works fine, you can adjust speed in bios trough voltage. But there is one issue. The indication plastic on the 3 pon header is gone so i dont know which way to put it. And since my fan has 4 pins theres alot of different...
