I plan on upgrading my OS drive (M.2 PCIE 4.0 256GB) to an M.2 PCIE 4.0 4TB drive.
I was initially planning on purchasing a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB drive, but after the firmware fiasco (and how they dealt with customers), I decided to try a different vendor.

Hi, I would like to know if 4TB or 6TB external HDDs, intended for data only, when connected via USB 3.0 cable, to older PCs with BIOS and Windows 10, are recognized and at full capacity?
If yes, as they are larger than 2TB, is it mandatory that they are GPT?
