I know this mobo is old but does anyone know how to reset bios on it. In the manual it says to use the jumper and cmos I have tried these things multiple times and have left the cmos battery out for almost a whole day before still doesn’t reset the bios password can anyone help.

So, I have an old laptop that I wanted to salvage and make into a Ubuntu machine but, the hard drive is already dead, so I was wondering if I can disassemble a external hard drive laying around so I can use to to replace the dead one on my laptop, is it possible?
