Anti-surge protection

We have been having some short power outages without warning recently. Sometimes they only last 10-20 seconds and sometimes a little longer maybe an hour or so. I want to protect my desktop and peripherals and purchase a UPS that would keep everything running for an hour or so. My set up...

Hi I want to make a portable power station. Is ther a way I can disable the surge protection on the outlets of a power Inverter ? I want to use my UPS battery back up for my pc.

As mentioned in tittle , the problem is that my laptop has 2 GPU's , one that is amd a4 3305m APU with HD graphics (that are HD 6480G) ,and the PCIe controller or whatever its called , picks up the 2nd GPU , that is the HD 7450m (wich has 1GB DDR3 Dedicated memory) . So the problem here is ...

i bought a GeForce gtx 750ti recently for my hp xw8400 it got here today and I put it in. the pc beeps 6 times with a red light once a second there is a 2 second pause then it beeps again please help.
