    Question Couldnt get to BIOS, tried taking out the CMOS battery and putting it back in, now nothing shows

    I wanted to get into BIOS to change the boot order on my computer. When spamming delete or f2 on the splash screen, it would bring up a black screen and if I moved my mouse, it would bring up a green cursor that could move but there was nothing to interact with.     [SOLVED] Obtaining new processor for my old motherboard

    ABout 8 years ago I built a PC based around an ASUS Maximus V Gene motherboard an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It has worked beautifully ever since but I now need to upgrade it with more memory (no problem) and a Quad Core 3.2Ghz processor as I want to use the machine for more demanding work...
