batch number

I am trying to rma a intel cpu and I need the serial and batch number and I have thrown away the box for my i7 8700k but I still have the manual and I am wondering if its in there. Otherwise I have heard that it is on the CPU itself but I wanted to sumbit my RMA before I remove my CPU, so that's...
