bios date and time

I am having trouble setting time and date in bios of a HP z800 Workstation. When I try using + or - to increase values or page down or page up the little flashing _ goes away and nothing happen. The flashing _ only reappears when I hit up arrow or down arrow keys. Strange part is when I use 2 or...
