so i upgraded to windows 10 and now i have 30 fps max in games like csgo and dbd pls help i dont know if its my drivers my gpu setup i dont know if its my spec gtx1050 t117 7700 processor and DESKTOP-SH337AR i7 7700 my driver is 399.07

Okay, so I have someone telling me that an 8 core processor would be better than gaming than a quad core processor. I am arguing that quad core processors typically have higher performance per core. He is arguing performance is balanced between cores. I know there is many factors at play here...
