disassemble

I'm trying to remove the cooler and thermal conductor from my laptop. I already removed all screws from CPU and coolers but, somehow, the thermal conductor is still stuck together with the CPU. I'll leave an illustration of the scene. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I want to disassemble this cooler from my motherboard. There are of course 4 pins. I can easily plug out two pins. But the other pins are buried. How can I take that out? I tried to take Part 1 apart from Part 2. But I couldn't do that either.

Does the "Windows easy transfer" software from microsoft apply to windows 7 and xp? I would like to transfer files from windows XP to windows 7, and the person I'm doing this for, needs to have 0 data loss, and be able to use his computer as normal, afterwards.
