Hello everyone, my name is Tommy.
I am a data analyst in a railway safety company. We measure data on the railway that is then used by customers to ensure preventive safety. However, I am having a problem. Because it concerns large numbers of data, we receive physical disks that we then have to...

Having one of those days where I think I shouldn't be allowed to use computers....I was trying to extend a drive after switching from RAID to AHCI, and accidentally extended it over the system reserve partition. It's now labeled as a simple volume, dynamic type. Is there a way for me to fix it...
Hi, I am trying to make a simple volume on a new USB drive but when I right click the thumb drive in disk management nothing happens. It isn't greyed out or anything, it just does nothing. I also tried to make a simple volume using Command prompt but it said: "A disk specified is not dynamic...
OK, so this is a 64gb Kingston HyperX USB stick, and it even says 64gb on it. I installed TailsOS on it last week with Rufus, and then suddenly when I went to format it because I thought that was a more secure Linux distro, I decided I didn't need it. I went into disk management and only 58gb is...
I had recently wanted to secure erase my SSD using parted magic and attempted to do so last night, but I accidentally secure erased my hdd instead, which isn’t a big deal since it’s not my Windows drive. After I realized I did that, I went back and secure erased the SSD that I wanted to...
Everything I've tried has seemed to make the situation worse. I cannot find the disk in disk management, nor can I find it in macrium reflect nor Samsung data migration. I can find it in my bios and in the device manager but that seems to be it. In the beginning i went into my bios and enabled...
I have a 2.5in HDD in an external enclosure (it used to be an internal HDD, but when I was replacing my last laptop, I stripped out as much removable stuff as I could, e.g. RAM cards). When I connect it to my new laptop via USB 3.0 (no way to do direct SATA, unfortunately), the computer doesn't...

So today I just finally Upgraded to a new graphics card. It ended up not fitting, so I had to disassemble it and reassemble it in a new, larger, PC case. The ONLY part that changed was the graphics card. However, now that I put everything back together the two NvMe harddrives I had installed in...
Yesterday I had a problem with HDD disk - my Windows wouldn't boot when it was disconnected although I had Windows installed on my SSD. It was resolved thanks to @SkyNetRising advice from some old thread. I did what he wrote in this thread:

Hi, I just built my first PC. I'm very very new to all of this so pardon if I'm missing something obvious. I'm only using one 1 TB SSD that I installed Win10 on. From what I understand, you're supposed to download Win10 to the SSD.
I'm trying to get Windows to recognize the SSD but when I open...

Hi there.
I'm trying to expand my C-Drive to use the extra, unallocated space after cloning my old system onto my newer, larger SSD. But I'm struggling to do so without paying an arm and a leg for a software I'd only use once.
