I am looking for a place to purchase one of these: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66Ghz Dual-Core Processor. Since I am rather pressed for cash, I've been looking on eBay. I'm wondering if a refurbished CPU will serve my needs, especially since I'll be doing some gaming on my machine.
Got fooled by ads for the ASROCK X99 WS-E MoBo listings.
They have BOTH an X99 Intel Controller PLUS a Marvell 9172 RAID Controller
Turns out you CANNOT run BOTH in RAID mode simultaneously.
As a rhetorical question - so WHAT good is having two controllers ??
