MSI z87 45 gaming

Hello everyone. I ordered a new cpu, an i7-4790k, which arrived today. It is for an MSI Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard. As stated, the computer does not boot. The fans work, the interior lights all come on, but there is no monitor, keyboard, or mouse output. The BIOS is up to date and I have tried...

I bought the G.Skill Ram 8gb (2x4) 2133mhz and Msi Z87M Gaming. My question was if I needed to overclock my ram since on my mobo it says "supports 2133mhz OC" to use it at that frequency and if I have to, could I damage it? Ps: please tell me how to overclock it before I destroy my computer Thanks
