I dont really like my motherboard's soundcard so I want to connect my headset via usb, do I have to buy a hole different soundcard or can i buy an adapter that will do the job?

should i sell my i3 6100 & asus hd 7870 2gb to get a i5 4440 & gtx 1050 ti 4gb cuz i will not upgrade it or anything
