Right then,
back at the beginning of February, I bought a custom PC for my workshop.
Specs:
MoBo: Gigabyte A320M (BIOS 11/03/20)
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X
RAM: 16GB Crucial
On Board Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710
I bought from Amazon a uBit Wifi - Bluetooth PCIe card. The first few days all was...
So for the past couple of months now I've been getting sporadic black horizontal lines and sometimes just no image on two of my monitors. They are both connected with displayport to vga cables, and my other is connected with just hdmi. At first I thought it was just an adapter issue, and so I...
Hi folks,
I upgraded my mobo and CPU, and reinstalled win10 and linux. All works fine including my primary monitor via displayport.
HOWEVER I can no longer video-out from my GPUs HDMI port to my LG TV as a secondary screen, in windows. I can do so in linux, but not at full resolution & refresh...
My HD has recently been changed because the old one broke. After I changed it, the display stopped working. After a few hours of troubleshooting and thinking my motherboard was broken, I discovered that if I connect my monitor to the integrated graphics it still works. The GPU fans are running...
I just bought the Asus TUF A15 2021 with Ryzen 5800H and RTX 3060. I know the 3060 runs with PCIe gen 4, but want to know if I can also get a PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
How can I know if this is supported? I know the CPU supports it, but not sure if the motherboard itself does.
Hello,
So I recently just installed a new PCIE Network adapter, after turning on my pc, it restarts a total of three times and it boots up completely like normal.
Is there anything i should be concerned? Or is this normal?
Thanks
I recently acquired an RTX 3080. However, it arrived with a damaged PCIe power connector - one of the pins inside the connector was damaged. Specifically, the top-right pin on one of the connectors. While I successfully inserted the 8-pin, this ended up embedding the connector deeper inside the...
Hello, I want to have 3 or more m.2 drives installed into my pc, but I only have 2 m.2 ports on my motherboard(ASUS rog crosshair 8, with a 5900x). I will use this pc for gaming and would like mass storage for games and multimedia recording my gameplay. I would like to purchase a 'ASUS hyper...
Hello wonderful community!
I've been a part of this community for a while now and I've had the same PC since 2013. The community had helped me choose my parts and even offer ideas for upgrades when I looked for them through the years.
I've recently noticed how I can't really multitask anymore...

So ive just bought myself a PCIe wifi card so i could get a reliable wifi adapter instead of tethering from my phone. I ran into a problem of my GPU taking up all the PCIe slots with its triple slot size, cooler and all.. So i decided to try something stupid. I had a M.2 to PCI riser card...
So i have been having this weird problem where horizontal black lines appear on my screen. After this happens a few times the screen turns black. I have to reboot my pc using the button. Then 50/50 sometimes my pc turns on and the same problem occurs or my monitor says it has no connection...
When I tried removing the flu I unscrewed the screws and unlocked the slot and after I tried removing it only half the card came out of the slot and the slot has locked itself I have added a photo.
My cousin get's a consistent 10 FPS on games like CS:GO and American Truck Simulator despite having an excellent graphics card (AMD Radeon RX 580). We found out his PCIe was x16 @ x4 in GPU-Z and knew it was reducing his performance. When we enable his integrated GPU (AMD Radeon Vega 3) he gets...
What is the difference between the Western Digital 2TB WD Blue 3D NAND Internal PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280, Up to 560 MB/s - WDS200T2B0B and the Western Digital 2TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe Internal SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, 3D NAND, Up to 2,600 MB/s - WDS200T2B0C? Is there any real...
UPDATE: I have since removed the USB 3.0 connection to the front panel (there was only one and I never used it) and the GPU is now fully sitting in the slot with the clip in.

I've been developing a game for Oculus and need to test out my game on a recommended GPU to ensure stable performance. So it seems I'll be getting a GTX 970 for this purpose, however, I don't want to deal with swapping out my RTX 3070 whenever I want to test the game and whenever I want to game...
Is my cpu: Intel i7-7700k compatible with gen motherboards? If so, would there be a significant speed increase if I were to change the motherboard?

So I'm looking for a 1TB NVMe drive and I narrowed it down to these because rest are either too high priced, bad service brands where I live, or QLC.

Got a friend selling an Asus Strix 2080Ti for very cheap and am planning on purchasing it as an upgrade from my 2070 Super. However I'm concerned about my PSU, not necessarily if it's powerful enough, it's the fact I don't have 2 spare 8 pin PCIE connectors on the PSU.
The PSU is a Corsair...
Hello all, I know this is a very stupid question, but I am wondering if it's at least ok to use a spare PCI-E modular cable from my Corsair CX650M to use it in my old Zalman ZM750HP Semi Modular PSU (I know it's old af, but at least it still works like charm). I am worried of setting PC on fire...
