polish nail

Hello, two days ago I scratched the motherboard with the I/O shield of my 6600, exposing the copper. The PC is working fine, temps are fine, but I read online that I should apply some polish nail of the copper to avoid oxidation and/or shorting... is that the case? Please let me know... Here a...
