printer connection

I have reviewed the mopria.org website, including the FAQs, and find there is quite a bit of confusion on my part. Perhaps someone here who is familiar with Mopria can straighten me out by answering these questions. 1. The mopria.org website talks about it being a service and some Canon printer...

the printer worked fine on old router upgraded to some ASUS TUF Gaming ax3000 v2 not sure if they've got FreshTomato firmware for that updated with GUI yet, just some backend without GUI the printer doesn't seem compatible with Wifi 6/AX enabled, or 5GHZ but i even disabled those...and the SSID...
