#problem with gpu

Whenever I restart my pc the graphics card doesn't turn on and i have to use the integrated gpu to see the screen. It only works again if I shutdown the pc, plug the displayport cable back into my gpu, then turn on my pc. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to what could be going wrong and...
