replace widows

I want to completely remove Windows 10 and replace it with Linux Ubuntu. My Laptop is an ASUS X540L,with 4GB of RAM, 1TB of Hard disk, and an Intel i3 processor. It originally came with Windows 10. I already have an Ubuntu Live pendrive. I would like to know if I can backup the Windows 10...
