saving photos

Every time I try to save an image in Windows Photos the app just keeps on saving - it gets stuck on 'Saving' the image after (in this case) cropping. I went to Settings/Apps/Photos and clicked on 'Repair' and after a short while a 'check' appeared indicating that the repair was done. But it...
