Is anyone aware of benchmarks or other known performance differences between 8 GB SO DIMMs and 16 GB ones? I'm just suspicious because even the 16 GB DIMMs are all single-rank, as far as I can tell, and yet both the 8 GB and 16 GB DIMMs use 16 Gb dies. So I'm wondering if they did something...

I have a DELL Laptop vostro 3491 . Service Tag - 2P09B53 ( if that helps ) . I came with DDR4-2666 . I recently bought DDR4-3200 ram but HWinfo and windows task manager shows it runs at 2667 mode . And YES 1600Mhz is a jedec profile . Also check the attached photo .

Hello, I currently have 4gb of RAM in my laptop and I want to upgrade it to 2x4gb. My laptop is a HP Pavilion g6-2201sd and the ram stick that it uses now is am1u16bc4p2-b19h. Can I add any 4gb 1600 MHz SO-DIMM ram stick or does it need to be the exact same part number to run in dual channel?
