Maxtor D740XL with fluid bearings? Are these drives really quiet? How quiet in terms of dba? Does anyone have any information on these drives? Where I can compare benchmarks with other drives? Are they stable? Are they fast? Any info is appreciated.

Both my burner and my 52x drives are reading CD-RW disks as audio data with Nero. Either that or the data is detected in Nero but, the disk is not seen in My Computer. I've upgraded the VIA bus driver, the system bios, tried to disable the DMA, all to no avail. I just upgraded the Windows ME...
