wifi speeds

I am only getting 30 - 50 mbps download speed and dropping connection despite getting 300 mbps on my phone next to the pc. I have just installed 1 gbps virgin internet with a new router in the hopes of fixing the issue however, it has not. Every other device receives great wifi. Please help!
