I think your right on the PSU ShindoSensei the TX650 would be better. so i change the build :) http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1lkDr

i included the dvd drive because i have 3 or 4 games that must have the disc in to play and sadly daemon tool just wont cut it. (saying that i did rebuy the same games again on steam on there summer sale as i don't have an ODD myself).

if he got a good £40 HSF he could run the CPU at 3.8-4.2Ghz 24/7 giving extra gaming performance :) but just not sure which one would be good :)

the ram you picked is £15-£35 more than the PNY here in the UK and would give no real performance increase in games.

are you maximizing with all that money (as in will you try to spend as much as you can) or do you want to save as much as possible?

I play a number of games, old and new. In terms of new games I would like to run BF4 well. Yes I am looking to hit the £1000 mark.

you beat me to it xD. I agree with the 770, albeit get the direct CU2 variant from asus. The cooling is magnificent. Are you also looking for some hdd space to store files and what not? Not sure if you'll be needed a disk drive. Can't believe I just told someone they don't need a drive xD I'm getting real old; back in my day no drive= you being a bum :p. But yeah great choice for the mobo cpu and gpu. HOWEVER i'm not a big fan of PNY ram. you might want to get faster ram as well:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455

either of the two work well. You necessarily need RAM this fast, but it will be more future proof and in my opinion worth the price (plus it'll look badass with you're mobo and gpu).

as for the PSU the options are limitless, however never go bare minimum with your gpu. Corsair was a good choice, but if you can dish out the extra money get something like this:

better safe than sorry. anything from 650-750 will keep your ass (arse? I'm not sure what they say in the UK :p ) covered. Besides that the case looks pretty good and you should be set :) hope this helped; +1 to that find GeekThief ;)
