Hello, my name is Eren and my dad told me I could buy anything I want, and I have an allowance of £1000. Now I want to spend all of it on a gaming PC. I know a bit about hardware but I wanted to seek help to get the most out of my allowance.

I would want you guys to help me find a good gaming Intel PC for £1000. You could use any websites including 2nd hand websites like Ebay or Amazon.

I also need 1 or 2 monitors to go along with it. I prefer 2 small/medium sized monitors instead of one big one.

I currently have a template but I am not too sure if it is good:

CPU
Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8 GHz 6-Core Processor

Motherboard
MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Memory
G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

Storage
Crucial - MX300 275 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive

Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Case
Corsair - SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply
SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Total: £537.38

I also do not know what GPU to get so therefore there is none above. I was thinking maybe a GTX 1070

Here is an I5 8400 system. This doesnt include the video card price nor the price of windows or a second moniter. You may need to see what price those parts are in your region in pounds. I am formulating another list with a slightly better price to performance build. The 1070ti arent manufactured anymore due to the rtx card that are too pricy for this build, so you can find a refurbished 1070ti for cheap.

For that budget I'd go 29" ultra wide with 24" 16:9 (same height) and both support Freesync so I went with the RX 580. The ultra wide says 60hz but it's actually 75hz (I have the 34" version).

The ultra wide (21:9) provides a more immersive gaming experience and 29" is a good size.

Or if you prefer Intel.

Well I was trying to balance out the price with want for multi monitors, plus using Freesync & the RX 580 is a good combo and will help with any dips/screen tearing. The 4gb vram is also sufficient for 2560x1080 & 1080P at least for high-ish settings. At least long enough to hold out for mid range Navi.

I prefer to go with Intel and I would rather have a normal monitor over free-sync. I do not know why but I just don't like AMD parts. I was thinking of just getting 2 1080p monitors next to each other.

Which is better Ryzen 1600 or Iten i5-8400 ? I never knew AMD parts offer better performance for my budget.

Yes, that is a good setup although i would get a b450 mobo as an x470 isnt needed. The ryzen 5 2500 offers 6 cores 12 threads at 3.6ghz and can overclock to 4.0 ghz and up. The core i5 8400 has only 6 cores 6 threads at 2.8ghz and although it will turbo up higher than that when needed, it cannot be overclocked The 2600 has overclocking support, higher clocks, and double the processing threads for less money. That allows for better multitasking, simmilar game performance, and you can stream gameplay more easily. Ok, so here is a cost reduced AMD Ryzen 5 2600 build. This only includes one BenQ 1920x1080 IPS monitor but you could buy another identical one to make your build total 1,050 pounds. This costs a bit more than the 8400 builds since you get a 1070ti, faster ram, more storage, and a better cpu. Still under £1000 but with another monitor, it would push it over 1000 pounds. This is the best performance you can get for this price!

favoured a bigger ssd over the bigger hdd. Too bad the gpu has no backplate for better looks, but for the price something you'll just have to take it like it is.

Going for AMD would make things cheaper as shown above, but it seems you are a little bit biassed. ;)

Both builds are very capable. The AMD build will perform better since it has a 1070ti budgeted instead of the normal 1070 that would fit in your budget with the intel build. The tx psu in this intel build is good but pretty old. If you want intel, get intel. If you want performance get AMD.
