Additional Comments: An SSD is a must, and I would prefer a Quiet(ish) computer. I'm mainly buying to max out games like BF3, and with any luck, the upcoming Watchdogs (Two main games I am thinking of currently). Also do Computer Programming in Visual Studio with C# and C++ and also do some Java so will be programming a lot on this PC.
 


Looks like a good build. I was originally looking more at AMD cards so would you say nvidia is a better choice? Also, if I somehow ran into a bit more money, would it be worth going for I7 or would that be a waste of money?
 


I prefer Nvidia, but AMD cards are also very good. The problem is that the R9 280X is usually cheaper than the GTX 770, but with all the litecoin madness, this card is now at the same price as the GTX 770. And here's a little chart to help you:

Performance: 770 equal to 280X, maybe the 770 is better in 1080p
Power consumption: 770 better than 280X any day
Heat: 770 slightly better than 280X
Noise: 770 better than 280X
Drivers: Nvidia slightly better than AMD
