Hi everone!!!
Can you (the public) list me a list of parts and links for a £160 budget gaming build.
This will be very helpful as my birthday is approaching and i want to make a pc on that day.
It has to be atleast dual core, 3ghz+ (or abit less and easily overclockable) , 4gb ram and 160gb of hdd.

First of all its pounds not euros and secondly im on a extreamly tight budget (ps this equals to $250)

Do you got any parts that you can re-use.... I'm in the USA and there is no way you're going to build what you want with 250 dollars. Now 250 dollars might get you a p4 lol.

im american, so this will all be in dollars but you said it was equal to $250, so thats what ill shoot for.

this is like the cheapest i can find. this is asking alot to be able to play BF3 on a $250 computer...if you need a monitor also, this build is impossible. you said you had a HDD with win7 already, and my build went over $250 by 30 bucks without a HDD.

160 quid for a gaming rig is incredibly tight man, you'd have to upgrade that very soon, better to save up your money and make a good pc, with parts you can upgrade as and when you need to.

NOOB2PRO, what people are trying to say is that it is in no way possible to build a DECENT pc with 160 pounds, even with an apu you will be going over budget, the minimum for a gaming build is atleast 250 pounds, sorry man but its just not possible to build a decent system for 160 pounds, if i was you i would save up some money and build a half decent one.

exactly. i would save up some more also.

pro tip: dont buy each part when you have the money, save up and buy everything at once, because prices change and new things come out so fast

Okay so i looked around site and this is what i got (it doesnt include a hdd since ive gt on):
APU: AMD A8 5600K £77.02
m.ebuyer.com/398815

Motherboard: MSI FM2A55M-DSG £39.50
http://m.ebuyer.com/406381

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 4GB 1866MHZ £20.49
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B006YG9BPY/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1355335408&sr=1-3&pi=SL75
(could get a 2nd one)

Case w/ 460w power: ACE STAC2 £18.45
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B006M6DBG6/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1351982038&sr=1-6&pi=SL75

Total: £155.46

Now these are just the starter. Add this graphics card and run hybrid crossfire.
MSI Radeon HD 6670 £48.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008H7T7UC/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1354955714&sr=1-3&pi=SL75

This will boost the proformance by almost twice as much.

If you have a spare hdd (like i do) and a optical drive then use those but if you dont then here.

HDD: £18.99
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000OUI8OQ/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1354120674&sr=1-54&pi=SL75

Optical drive: LG GH24NS90 £13.47
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B007267YRC/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1354554765&sr=1-26&pi=SL75

Also tell me if this is good or not considering the price.

That case and power supply is just plain terrible, the power supply is one of the most, if not the most important part of a pc as a badly made power supply can die and bring your whole system with it, id recommend a power supply from a reputable brand for example XFX, Corsair, Seasonic, Antec etc. That build is okay i guess but i'm not sure if it will be able to run Battlefield 3, maybe at low settings on a low res monitor idk.

LOL this was tough. You should really consider a extra 100 pounds and you could get a sandy bridge dual core with a dedicated card (7750 or something really low budget)
