Hello! I am going to build a gaming PC and I need some advice on the components for it. I am not very experienced with these sorts of things and I need some help. Here are the current components I have chosen:

Casing: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z77

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz Socket 1155 Box

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

RAM: Corsair DDR3 16GB 1600MHz Low Profile

Graphic Card/GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 690 4GB DDR5 3xDVI DisplayPort PCIe

Hard Drive: Samsung SSD 840 PROSeries 256GB 2.5" OEM

Optical Drive: Havent really found one yet, please leave suggestions

Power Supply/PSU: Corsair PowerSupply (PSU) HX850 850W 80+ Gold

I live in Sweden and the total amount of SEK for all of these components converted into GBP would be around £1825, is it worth it?

Would this work? Are these components good for a gaming PC? Please leave feedback and suggestions if you know any better components or if this wont work.

I will be playing on one screen, and I will possibly overclock. Ive heard it can severly harm your computer so I will be researching a bit more on that. I will also buy the components from different stores.

for gaming a 3570k would be fine

8gb of ram would also be fine

a gtx690 is very expensive--unless you have a very high resolution then a gtx670 or hd7970 would be fine

Could you tell me what the difference between 8/16GB of RAM and the difference between 3770K/3570K
I want to play the "heaviest" games in the highest texture/resolution without any lag what so ever (100 FPS+) That is why I chose the GTX 690, I know it is expensive but I can currently afford it, I read that the 690 is double as fast as 680 and 680 itself is pretty fast so as far as I can see I am currently sticking with 690. But thank you for the feedback :)

4 gtx titan cant run all games maxed, 100+ fps. your claims are ridiculous.
You have to accept to play on high->max. With 40-60+fps. Everything over 50 fps stable is in almost every game unnecessary. And the difference in high and highest settings are barely noticable anyway.

The best recommendation would be a gtx 780 for your expectations.
Price/performance isnt the best, but better then a gtx 690, so in future you can buy another gtx 780, which would be far better then a gtx 690.

Games use far less then 4gb of memory, so 8gb would be plenty
Performance difference of i5-3570k and i7-3770k is very very little (1-5%,depending on game)

I am not going to buy Titan, and I just want that extra FPS, its just a thing to make you feel secure. Almost like when you put on extra clothes a cold wintery day when youre already not freezing. I am a hardcore gamer but I have had a very limited budget for long and have only been able to play games properly on my PS3. Now that my budget is larger I want the best computer I can afford, and the first thing I chose was the GPU. I did some research and found that the GTX 690 is the best. Now let me remind you that I am not very experienced in computer components, so if you think that a GTX 690 is unnecessary then so be it, it will give me more money for extra games.
I also heard Intel are soon going to release their new CPU called Haswell or something, will the performanced difference between it, the i7 and the i5 be noticable or will it be just like the difference between i5 and i7?
I appreciate all feedback, thank you :)

the difference between 8/16GB of RAM and the difference between 3770K/3570K

8gb of ram is plenty for playing games--ram prices are going up

a few months ago ram was so cheap i would have said just get 16gb even though you wont need it for gaming

3570k is the choice for gaming as hyperthreading isnt really needed for gaming

on one screen at 1080p i would say a 690 was really not necessary and far too expensive

unless you have a 120hz monitor or higher whats the point of 100fps or over?

So for games like Skyrim, Battlefield, Far Cry 3 on Ultra Settings you wouldnt suggest a GTX 690? I am planning on buying a 24" LED 50-60hz monitor running at 1080p.

Then start with a gtx 670... This would be enough for you...
If you feel the need for more power, add a second one, this would be faster then a gtx 690 and also cost less...

Well i have a hd 7870 (~220$) and i can run bf3,skyrim,far cry 3 on max. Settings 45 -70+ fps

No need to spend over 1000£, 800-1000£ pc would be more then enough

a gtx690 is about £825 in the uk

so no way i would pay that for one 60hz 1080p monitor gaming

as suggested a gtx670 then add a second gtx670 if you need to

or a gtx780

but personally i think the gtx780 is overpriced

about £630 for one with non reference cooling

compared to £320 for a hd7970 ghz with non reference cooling and about the same for gtx670

I looked up the differance between GTX 780 and 690, the performance differance wasnt that large, of course 690 won but barely. The price difference however is very large, it is about £200 here in Sweden. For that I could buy myself a good monitor. I think I have changed my mind about the GPU, GTX 780 is currently my choice. If anyone else has any better suggestions please feel free to suggest them to me since all feedback is appreciated.

Now concerning the other components, if I change the RAM to 8GB, the CPU to i5 and the GPU to GTX 780, would it work with the other components?

Yes i would wait for haswell, doesnt cost much more , it requires a new socket(1150), which means new motherboards will also be released.
About 5-15% performance increase is being said and other improvements. Definitly worth it !

Please tell us the website from where you are going to order the parts, so we can compare prices ect.

Just to make the converting easy for you guys, £1=10 SEK, so for example 1679 SEK=about £167,9
I also wonder, will the 850W be enough for all the components, and is it too much?

Would 750 or 500W still be good to power the entire computer? Since I dont want a bunch of unneccessary watts

What do you mean by non reference models?

corsair 750w should be fine

the pc only draws the power it needs--so doesnt use the full rated watts all the time

ie if your pc under load uses 400w then it wont pull 850w from the wall

it will pull a bit over 400w due to efficiency

non reference models come with upgraded cooling

usually a better heatsink and more fans and a factory speed increase

they run cooler and quieter because of the better cooling

though can be £50 or so more than a reference cooling model

Alright, I believe on GPU is enough, dont know why I would buy two. But thank you :) I saved a shit ton of money from everybody's feedback thanks a lot to everyone.

During building my PC, is there something I should keep in mind?
