By today's standards, medium at best... Unless you already have a motherboard that supports that CPU I wouldn't buy it.

How good is the AMD Athlon X4 880K 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Quad Core CPU please?

Look for something with a G4560 CPU or an i3-7xxx CPU. That will give you a platform to grow. For gaming, those CPUs with DDR4 memory are better.
