£500 - £600 I5 2500k custom pc

I have a budget of around £500 - £600 and am in desperate need of a new computer, and since im into technology and its apparently cheaper i have decided to build my own one. I will be playing fps games on the systems and also games like wow and starcraft. I also will be doing video editing on after effects and sony vegas and some 3d work in cinema 4d (very little and not complex things e.g. 3d text or intros) , with this in mind does anyone know what parts i should get on top or different to the ones i will state below, thanks reece

... and also is it worth overclocking with my build if not should i just get the 2500. I will not be needing a monitor or a mouse/keyboard just windows 7 which ive found for around £70

(not sure on case what it to look quite nice as well , as is an added bonus)

You could save yourself some money and get a 500w PSU which would be plenty for a single GPU build.

Also to note - you haven't included a HDD (hard disk drive) or RAM in your build list - do you already have these?

I already have 8gb of corsair vengeance ram and was thinking on the same hdd you picked or a 1tb caviar black or blue wd hdd

also scan's deals of the day are great value what do you think of the i5 system build today as i can always send back my vengeance ram as only order a few weeks ago , also some of the motherboard cpu and ram bundles look very appealing thanks for the heads up

I actually had a look at that build for a friend since all that would be needed is a graphics card.

Im unsure of the quality of Xclio PSU's but other than that its a pretty solid build for £470. If you returned your RAM, bought a ATI 6870 and an aftermarket CPU cooler your looking about the same price (£600 ish).

It might be better, but it's not better because of the 'faster' interface.

Thanks for all your help, im still not sure on a graphics card, anyone know a really good graphics card between around £100 - £130 (preferably)

AMD 6870 is the best bet in my opinion. But the GTX 560 (not Ti) is a good card too. Could also look at a GTX 460 1GB
