Question £500 UK Stylish Game Build - Suggestions

Hi everyone,

I really hope you can help me. I’m planning a £500ish build that can handle modern games and home usage. As this will be visible in my office, the look is important. Something classy. I won’t be heavily using it for “career” gaming, so all day sessions, 4k, streaming, huge online games etc are out of the question. Just enough to wind down after work.

I'd be very grateful for suggested builds, links, offers etc.

In an ideal world, I’d build a beautiful new computer, plug in my two drives and everything boots up fine. All programs, folders, files etc where they were originally. I’m guessing it’s not that simple so guidance please! You’ll be a huge help!

The OP mentioned that he will be gaming and streaming, 8gb of RAM wont be enough for a Ryzen cpu 16 gb would be way better.

Hi iMatty, i'm NOT planning on doing that. Just single player games one minute, word processing and office stuff the next all whilst looking smart and flash in my recently decorated office.

None the less, any ryzen CPU is ram hungry. It depends on you if you'll be using it that much or not.
Eitherways its a good build.

The thread you referenced above has a good suggested build on the second reply (I think it was second) R5 2400G with more RAM instead of a dedicated GPU would tick a lot of your boxes.
Do you want a bit ATX case or something smaller seeing as its an office? (mITX case is what I personally would go for to make it more understated but still very much functional).

An mITX case would probably be better. I do like the look of the Core V1 case. but wondering if everything will fit.

I did a build in a Kolink Satellite Plus case not so long ago for a smide over £500 (lovely case btw, nice brushed alu finish) it wasn't far off the V1 size. Everything fit perdectly, GPU was snug (MSI RX570 Armor) but with the GPU removed it was perfectly spacious with the mITX board.
