Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my current PC:

CPU: i7-3770
GPU: AMD R9 280X 6GB
HDD: 240GB SSD & 1TB HDD
PSU: EVGA 750 G2
MOBO: Z77 Extreme 4m
CASE: Fractal Define Arc Mini

I'm looking to move to a small form factor ITX build small enough to fit in a cabinet of these dimensions: H650mm x D310mm x W415mm

So far I've put together this list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/LWGyzY which utilises some of my existing components. Are there any other suggestions on how this can be improved within the budget? I'm also hoping to achieve a relatively quiet/silent build if possible?

I have about £650 (maybe a bit more) to spend

Thanks in advance

Dump the CPU cooler (The Ryzen 2600 comes with a good stock cooler) and use that savings to get faster memory, preferably 3200mhz. Everything else is good.

Thanks, in terms of cooling will I need anything else to keep it quiet? It'll be in my living room so quiet operation is essential.

Also, am I right in thinking the 1060 is the better option over say a rx580?

Actually if quietness is a big part of it then get the aftermarket cooler as the stock one can be a bit audible or just try the stock first and if its too loud then grab a better cooler.

As for the whole RX 580 vs GTX 1060 6gb they both trade blows on performance depending on the game.

The only thing I would change would be the CPU to a ryzen 7 1700 8 core that cost couple more £.

I've made some changes to the original build and increased budget slightly...

The Neo case can accommodate full size gpu and psu by the looks of it, so cooling should be better?

I'm looking to do high 1080p gaming, some Wii U emulation as well as VR in future maybe and from what I understand Nvidia OpenGL works a lot better than AMD.

How's this looking? Really not sure what GPU to go for!!

Looks good, very nice case! I would suggest adding in fans where you can to intake cool air and exhaust heat from the case well. If you don't need anything fancy/RGB I'd go with Be Quiet Silent Wings 3.

the RX 580 is ideal for 1920x1080 gaming (nd can handle 1440p), and saves enough money to double your storage (500 GB SSD and 2 TB HDD)

There is no requirement to upgrade Case and PSU both are good. Storage can be reused as well. RTX2060 is 40% better in performance compared to GTX1060 and RX580.
