Hi,

I'm in the market for a budget gaming PC for my other half.

Looking to get the maximum performance possible for as low a cost as possible.

I have been reading up on different components but my knowledge of the landscape is limited. I know you can go for older components for example AM4 over AM5 but I dont understand the pro's and con's enough of the different pathways.

Could someone help me out with some suggestions with a max budget of £700 - the cheaper the better?

Would be happy playing on 1080p with a decent frame rate, but would certainly be nice to get some years of 1440p too.

Thanks

What do you need included in this price tag? You're advised to stylize your therad with info asked of in this thread;
and the community can chime in with worthwhile suggestions. You've mentioned your budget(absolute?) but we'll need a couple of more fields of info. Include all the games you'd like to tax the system with so our suggestions are tuned accordingly.

So you're looking to upgrade to 1440p, meaning your system should have an option to drop in a beefier GPU?

Hi,

I am having trouble responding to this thread with more information as the guide suggests.

When I write my needs I get the following message

"Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator."

Any ideas? Im not typing any words which might trigger it or any links etc.
