Hi there,

You guys are the experts, I am essentially looking at spending £800 on a gaming rig that will comfortably last me a few years before the need to upgrade crops up, I am moving from console to PC.

I don't care about multi-monitor, that is something I will do in the future. All I want is a 1080p 60FPS experience in most titles, and i'd like to achieve that on an £800 budget.

(I would be willing to go a little over, or under the budget.. that's not a problem - but I don't want to have a ridiculously expensive rig only to have to upgrade it in a few years to stay current.

I know how to put a PC together, what I don't know is what hardware combinations work best together.

Any help would be appreciated

ok here is one
CPU: intel core i5-4670K
mobo: Asus Z87-A or giabyte Z87X-UD3H or Asrock Z87 extreme 6
Ram: 8GB DDR3
GFX: Radeon R9-290, though id wait for the aftermarket cooler version as reference cooler does a crappy job doing so.
HDD: 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD (you can shave of the SSD if you want)
Case: any 60-70$ case will do.
PSU: any 500-600W from corsair seasonic XFX antec, will do.

thats pretty much it.
