[SOLVED] “Ethernet doesn’t have valid IP configuration - Post power outage

So the power went out last night and now I am having an issue with my Ethernet connection. WiFi is working as normal. Please help.

If you have not already tried it unplug and replug the lan cable.

You can also so IPCONFIG /release and then IPCONFIG /renew.

This should force it to ask the router for a new IP. Generally this type of error means the physical cable is good but you are not getting a IP from the router. If there are other devices like a switch or powerline device in between those could also cause this.

You may have to reboot your modem/router again too.
