“Reboot and select proper boot device” problem with brand new custom build PC

I can not access anything. I just finished building my PC and I do not have a software like windows installed yet. But when I try to install it in a USB it cannot read anything and whatever button I press the text “Reboot and select proper boot device......” . Please help me out

You need to have the Windows install already on a USB.
You do this from another working PC. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Download that MediaCreation tool, and use it to create a USB to install to your new PC.


Or, you use the USB or DVD you gout when you purchased the OS.

the only problem is that i am not sure if i have to open the file before hand on a working computer, and i donwloaded it from my mac which worked for my friend, so it should work for me, i dont know what button to press to access the bios because no button activates anything, the text about the reboot just keeps repeating if i press a button, and does downloading the iso file on a mac affect anything?

The iso file is no good to you, you need to create a bootable install from it on the USB stick, which also need to be formatted & partitioned as bootable media.

Much easier on a pc but possible on a mac too.
