Hello, I have an issue where my laptop keep automatically try to logon after restart even though I did not logon using biometric option. The error message “The device couldn’t recognize you. Please try again.” keep persistant flickering as if I logon with the wrong biometric inputs.

Moreover, i cannot put my laptop to sleep as it will immediately go the logon page with the same error message keep appearing. I have to literally shut down my laptop to get it to turn off.

I turn off all the biometric logon and its still come up with the same error.

Anyone has the same issue? I would appreciate it if someone can help with this issue.

Thank you.

Its fingerprint biometric input. My laptop is a 1 month old asus vivobook S14 M433UA.

When the error message keep flickering, I put my fingerprint it will logon with no problem. The only problem is keep showing the error message although I did not try to logon.

I don't know how that works but its possible its comparing it to one on file and its not matching.

Go to settings/accounts/sync settings
turn it off - this stops PC checking with cloud servers every time you logon.

you may need to set a new fingerprint just to have both ends of transaction agree again.
this shows how to register same finger multiple times. that might stop it too - https://www.infopackets.com/news/10...rouble-recognizing-you-windows-10-fingerprint
