[SOLVED] 0-100% usage on HDD

Is it normal for my HDD to reach 100% when downloading a game on it or even playing a game from my HDD, it reaches high usage (60%-90% Usage) when its loading the game or entering a new area. It reaches to 100% usage even when im updating something in Steam. Tho it will decrease and go to 0% usage after finishing the download or loading an area ingame. Thanks!

HDDs are much slower than SSDs. But I've seen the same on either one. It takes a second to load that level for your game. During that second, it's not uncommon for that drive to reach 100% usage.

Depending on your browser and how it downloads files, it may actually be copying the file from one place to another when the download finishes. This could be why you are seeing 100% usage then.

So yes, it's normal.
