First time builder here. I recently put together my first machine and it started/ran fine for a day or two. I hit the power switch and a large blue spark and shocking noise came from the case near the PSU.

Components were MSI 970 Gaming mobo
Sapphire dual x r9 270x GPU
OCZ Mod X stream pro 500w
WD 500GB Black HDD
Samsung 180GB SSD
AMD Black 4750 CPU

after the spark and all the computer had no power, so I bought a new Corsair CX750M and plugged everything back in, but still nothing turns on/lights up. I tried removing everything 1 by 1 and placing them back in to see if it'd turn on, but nothing.
Also I tried plugging in a case fan directly to the new PSU hoping it'd turn on when I plugged it in, but nothing. (Not sure if that is how it works).

Should I buy a new MotherBoard? Or is there something I could be missing?

Thank you everyone.

You're talking about the house circuit breaker/fuse? All my other electronics have been working since then (tv's, speakers, fans etc.) so I don't think that this could be the problem. The spark happened a few months ago and I just found a better tiered PSU that I could afford recently. Also the pc was powered through a surge protector at the time if thats valuable information?
