I have an 08' Pontiac Grand Prix Base model 3.8l not supercharged. I've scoured the internet looking for a new transmission for it but I'm failing to finde anything that could remotley tell me which model the transmission is. That site says it't the 4T65E while this other site says it's the 4T65E-HD or the other site has a list with the Grand Prix Base model but only up to an 03' or something like that. If anyone can please let me know what transmission I have in my car, I'd be forever grateful. Thanks for taking a look.

You may have to use your VIN number to definitely determine. Obviously Pontiac doesn't exist as a brand any more, but I wonder if another GM dealer would be able to use the VIN to determine.
Are you a member of a Pontiac owners forum? They probably have the most insight.

Thanks for the speedy resonspe. I'll call a GM dealet local to me later on today and see what they can tell me if anything. Here is a link to a transmission they have at AutoZone. https://www.autozone.com/drivetrain...rans-automatic-transmission-t280482/16748_0_0
In the desciption it shows the type is 4T65E so my best assumption right now is that my car does have a 4T65E. Now I just need to find which models have one so I can look around my area for one. Closest I've found so far in in PA which is 5 1/2 hours away :/

Rather than a big-box auto parts store, have you talked to a transmission specialist shop? Most larger cities have them.

If you do look and it doesn't show the vehicle, 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 V6 option.
