[SOLVED] 0x0000005c BSOD

I'm getting a 0x0000005c BSOD HAL initialization failed while playing video games like pubg and overwatch or for honor, it just happens at random while playing, also the games constantly crash but the crashes dont give any

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

copy that file to documents - upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site, and share the link in your thread so we can help fix the problem

are games on same drive as windows or different one?
try downloading HD sentinel Trial from here - https://www.hdsentinel.com/hard_disk_sentinel_trial.php - and on the disk tab, run any tests you can.

personally, i don't mind if you never get a BSOD again so no need to apologies, the ideal situation is they just stop and you don't have to do anything.

I will forward link toa friend, he may be able to help or he will leave a link I can use.

that is an unusual BSOD code. My 1st reaction to unusual BSOD is check ram

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors.

CH341S64.SYS - Hobby components? https://github.com/HobbyComponents/CH340-Drivers/blob/master/CH341SER/CH341S64.SYS any ideas what this is? its not a win 10 driver as its dated Jan 2015 and Win 10 not released until June. Could be cause of bsod.

FACEIT.sys . - I assume you know what this is - https://forums.faceit.com/ (its probably okay, just identifying unknown drivers)

Wish logitech would update webcam drivers, they could be cause.

No idea what hobby components is but I will try to do the ram thing

So I cant scan my ram because I dont have anything I can use to make a bootable drive, but no w I have some new issues, my overwatch now freezes during games then closes which is different than the other crash and now my pc is just freezing up and not responding to anything, the first time I was just using it normally not on any games, but the 2nd and 3rd it just froze up like not even 2 minutes after startup

do you mean you don't have a pc to make it or a spare USB drive?
Try running the windows memory diagnostic then - https://www.howtogeek.com/260813/how-to-test-your-computers-ram-for-problems/

its better than nothing.

try downloading autoruns and use it to stop CH341S64.SYS if you are still not sure what it is. All the program does is stop the driver running at startup,m if any program needs it, it can still be run - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns - this just helps eliminate potential causes.

you should buy a USB as they handy, especially as multi purpose and could be useful if you ever want to clean install win 10

People say reset and as it sort of means 2 things I can never tell which except through context. Reset can mean restarting PC or what you do, reinstalling win 10.

Did you check you had latest drivers for hardware? I realise its not a new PC so drivers will be scarce on the motherboard website.

I have sent link to a friend again in case CHerry doesn't reply in the next day or so :)

I reinstalled windows but kept personal files
