I am unable to rename any folders, and unable to add new files to folders. Each time I attempt to, I receive an error message stating:

"An unexpected error is keeping you from renaming the folder. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.

Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error"

I was having complications with OneDrive after reinstalling Windows 10 and ended up moving some folders after uninstalling OneDrive. Is it possible that the problem occurred from this?

what folders did you move?

It would appear its a problem associated with Onedrive sync and moving folders - https://techcommunity.microsoft.com...r-Move-fails-error-code-0x80004005/m-p/214911

after reading that, it seems to be account specific, so you could try making a new local account, make it admin, copy contents of
C:/users/currentusername
onto the new users folder at
C:/users/newusername

that will give it same access and maybe it won't have same problem

How to make local user - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au...-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account

Have you looked on the onedrive website and seen if there is a way to remove the sync feature?

4 years ago, just after win 10 was released, i had a bug with onedrive where it seemed to have more access to my folders than I did. the fix for that doesn't work anymore as it was to start a homegroup, they were removed in a previous version of win 10

Try this:
right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

Thanks for the reply. I think I didn't actually move folders, but I changed the location for my Music, Video, Picture libraries since it was pointing to folders located in the OneDrive folder rather than under my username. I won't be back at my computer until Sunday, I'll be sure to try out your suggestions and follow up. If all else fails, would a reinstall of Windows 10 (the one that doesn't delete apps) solve this problem?

See if this solution helps
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...e/e7b14a19-1e45-4df2-b090-601addfe9ca2?auth=1

So I guess errors would stop if you set libraries back to defaults
I noticed onedrive adds itself to almost everything now,

How does one uninstall onedrive anyway? Through apps and features?
I gave all those solutions a try but none of them worked. I can't find any other suggestions. I am unable to rename any folders in any of my drives; I can create and delete folders, but I cannot rename them.
