0x80070017 on installing win 7 and then, 0x0000007b on installing win xp. help

i have hp pavilion laptop which come with pre-installed ubuntu. i wanted to install window 7 on that laptop so i putted win 7dvd in cd/dvd room at drive selection i deleted all my drives partition and made new, then i clicked next and i started installing window after copying files at files installation it gave me error 0x80070017. then i removed win7 dvd and putted win xp cd in cd/dvd room and before installing window screen turned blue and it gave me error 0x0000007b. now i cant install win 7/ xp and i cant even run ubuntu because it says BOOTMGR missing.
please help me.

the problem may be in your w7 DVD or the dvd writer
