Hello!
I'm experiencing a problem with several games, Hearthstone, Team fortress 2 and CS:GO (and perhaps others that I'm yet to try).
When I launch the steam games (CS:GO and TF2) I get no windows or steam error, instead the processes associated with the games die by themselves after 15 seconds or so. However, Hearthstone provides this windows error after failing to start:
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application."
Viewing the crash logs for CS.GO and TF2 in Event Wiever reveals that they are also being caused by a 0xc0000005 error. Below is the report from TF2:
Faulting application name: hl2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x571e85ad
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x80000008
Faulting process id: 0x1298
Faulting application start time: 0x01d1a7f4e4e21380
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\hl2.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: 22911f12-13e8-11e6-a797-94de80657bdb
From reading up on the internet I've found and attempted several fixes, in no particular order:
Unfortunately I can't do a system restore as for some reason system restore won't let me go back further than 2 days, even with the show more revert points option enabled.
I'm running out of things to try and would rather not have to reformat my harddrives since my internet speed is crap and re-downloading all the stuff on my PC would take ages, so I turn to you guys looking for help.
Thanks in advance!

From reading up on the internet I've found and attempted several fixes, in no particular order:
Running games in safe mode
Verifing the integrity of the games
Re-Installing the games
Restarting my computer
Updating video card and windows drivers
Fixing registry issues with various registry fixing programs
Full virus scan with Malwarebytes and AVG
Running chkdsk on both my drives
Removing one of my RAM sticks at a time and running mdsched, found no errors
Removing both RAM sticks and using one of my brothers instead
Scanning and fixing system file errors using sfc.exe
Probably something else that I've forgotten
