I have a gateway laptop running Windows XP Home version. The other day my boyfriend plugged in his new bluetooth ear piece to charge it and the next time he tried to start the computer it got through the beginning of start up but when the desktop should have come up there was a black screen and a STOP error message That Read: lsass.ede- Application Error; The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click OK to terminate the application. Then when you click on it, the screen just stays black and you have to to a hard shut down to turn it off. Any ideas on what I should do to fix it? I could use the system restore disk but I am wondering if there is another way that I won't lose everything. I am also wondering if the bluetooth would have been the cause or if something else might have happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
