My dad asked me why his laptop can't boot to windows turns out it's a BSOD and the problem is i never checked which Win8 version being used on that laptop so i can't just download indows 8 from random website on internet and run a repair through cmd. Is there a way to fix it?

Make and model of your dad's laptop? If you're working with an HDD, chances are that the drive might be on it's way out or the OS installation has ended up corrupt. Perhaps give this article a try.
Acer E1-472G and yes it still use it original spinning disk, thanks for replying, i was about to trying your method i forgot to take out my usb stick containing Windows 10 installation so it booted into it, next i turn it off, take out the usb stick, then turn the laptop on again and somehow it booted into Windows normally.
