Where in the bios can you cjheck that your timings are 1:1 ?

I have an E8400 and set in the bios at (9x333) = 3.0
4 gig DDR2 (4 x 1g sticks) of Corsair CMX2 4-4-412 ram ( 6400 ) 800 is the speed of these

However in my bios it looks like standard is 5-5-5-18 (the memory that is)

Should I be running the CPU at a fsb speed of 400 and reduce the clock to 8x ?

Fomr reading in here it then shoul dbe a better match in speed between the memory and the cpu and give me a slight overclock.

The memory is rated to 2.1volts but I have it on auto ( shows up as 1.8VOLTS) as I do all other timings and voltages.

Any advise would be appreciated...

Yes and no. If you overclock your CPU to 3.2ghz with 400FSB you will get 1:1. But you can simply go into bios and change the FSB strap and Memory speed such that it is operating at 400mhz DDR but not 1:1 with cpu

I have it currently at 9x333 and the memory is ddr2 800 so they aren't running at 1:1 then are they ?
