1-2 Ms TN panel with freesync or 5 Ms IPS with freesync? Or 1440p will it even run?

Hey guys and gals. I am in the market to replace my very old monitor. Currently running 1360*768 @ 720 P

I am looking for a 1920*1080 resolution.

I am considering 1440p monitor

My set up is a typical i3 6100 paired with a rx480. I am mostly into multiplayer games.

I am leaning towards a 1080 P setup so I can run ultra settings in most games. I am considering buying two 1080p monitors. I believe the 480 will handle this with minor hiccups and a few adjustments to settings.

I have read and seen that a Rx 480 is able to run 1440p. However graphics have to be adjusted. If it can't run on ultra on one monitor, I Highly doubt it could run two 1440p monitors on low or med settings. I am not an ultra settings fan boy. It just makes sense that what I purchase I can utilize to it's full potential.

I've read that two rx480s running simultaneously have hiccups with 1440p on ultra settings on a single monitor in some demanding titles.

Questions

What is a better experience 1080 P at ultra settings? Or 1440p at med -high settings?

If I go the 1080 route I will most likely buy two monitors.

If I go the 1440 P route I will buy one initially. I may stick with one seeing as an Rx 480 may already be stressed.

The 1080 monitors I am considering are

Has 1080, 2ms response time, freesync, display port, TN

1080, 5ms response time, freesync, no display port, ips

Can anyone recommend a better monitor? Or pros and cons. Other than aformentioned. Is freesync really a huge bonus? Or should I look into a plain IPS monitor with lower response time? Is 2ms on the tn really that much better than 5 Ms on the IPS! Is display port a noticable difference from HDMI?

As for the 1440p monitors I am looking at the Korean crossover brand. Unless someone suggest other.

Thank you kindly.

You mention wanting two monitors, are you trying to make a purchase based upon the goal to have one game spread across both at the same time? I can tell you that is a very uncommon setup because the middle of your field of view in the game is in between the two displays, with the monitor bezels in between. It isn't a very enjoyable way to play except for certain games where your UI isn't based around the center of the field of view.
